It is a special therapy ward meant exclusively for Nuclear Medicine radioisotope therapy for specific cancers (Differentiated thyroid cancers following surgery) and non-cancerous (Hyper Thyroid) conditions. It is situated in a calm locality having sufficient surrounding green garden and parking place. It is an independent cottage with homely atmosphere. This therapy ward is one of the largest isolation wards available in south India.

What is Nuclear Therapy?

Nuclear medicine therapies include: Radioactive iodine (I-131) therapy used to treat some causes of hyperthyroidism (over active thyroid gland, for example, Graves' disease) and thyroid cancer. Radioactive antibodies used to treat certain forms of lymphoma (cancer of the lymphatic system)
